Default Car cant be reampped!! what should i do?

So im averagely distraught because my vectra 2.0 dti on 52 plates cant be reampped due to having a hybrid ecu. They reckoned for £250 inc 2 runs on the rolling road i would get around 40-50 bhp and 70 Nm of torque. As i cant do this i was wondering what i could do for similar cash to get some more power out of the engine??

    Any ideas??

    Thanks

Actually EDS do a map for the dti engine. not sure about the 2.0 but it can be done. If you cant be bothered searching you car get a tuning box that will give you similar increases

ok i had a single exit straight through exhaust done a mij for £240. good increase in torque. dont know exactly how much but you could either do that and put a little extra to get an air filter or get a tuning box from ebay or something. there are a few out there for £250

the best your going to get from a 2.0 is 120 bhp, they are reliable and economical, stick to that or trade it for a cdti 120 / 150 if your looking to tune one.

i am lead to believe the dti is a more tuneable engine due to the fact that there is less electronic limitation on it but it really is a case of how deep your pockets are and how far your willing to take it! If you dont want to spend too much then i would suggest getting air filtler, intercooler, exhasut and either eds map or tuning box. being realistic you can expect around 30ish bhp increase for that lot, maybe more if you decat. Your looking at around £1000 for those, depending of course on where your source your parts.

Im currently looking into other avenues to try gain more reliable power

you could get a viezu remap for about 275/300 quid but i dont know much about them.
the eds map is great and gives about 30bhp and loads more usable torque jusd where you/I want it but its about 425 inc vat.
viezu claim they can give 37bhp and 70nm of torque but not met anyone who's had one or had any feedback from anyone about them yet. they have dealers all round the country where as eds are tied to regalmotorsport in the uk so you have to go through them- IIRC.
