accelerating problem

hi everyone, i have replaced the EGR valve, when acclereating as hit around 4k revs the car stops acelerating suddenly and wont rev past it.
anyone got any ideas on what can be?

swirl valve?
inlet manifold?

lower down in the rev's just heard a strangle rattle when acelerating just as the turbo starts spooling any ideas?

does this happen in 1st and 2nd? if you stop at a certain speed but if you where to put your foot down the sound would stop?

and does it do it in 3rd and 4th and so on

happens in second not sure about any other gear, the sound stops as soon as stop acelerating

Sounds like it may be about to go into limp home mode.

ye mate it doesnt allow u to rev over 4k, just dont know what causing it

sunday morning bump, hope someone got an idea as starting to worry me now. considering selling my car or trading it in.
