Default engine revved to max 150 cdti

    Hi
My engine suddenly revved to max !Would not stop with key so i choked it in gear to stop it! Got it home and checked oil level which was very high on dipstick so there must of been diesel in it. I changed the oil and started it up with no problems and now it fills the road with white smoke but is going well. Any ideas ? Injectors have been tested and were 100%

oil may have found its way into the combustion chamber.

Its a guess but could it be the turbo leaking oil into the inlet?

i'd keep it off road until u find out what's goin on to ensure u don't wreck engine!
could be cylinder head (white smoke? could this be steam? did u test coolant?) engine reving out is weird though cuz that sounds like an electrical issue. Car should be 'limp mode' if there is a water/oil compression issue. keep us posted.

It is critical that the oil level is not above maximum on diesel engines. Any excess will be find its way into the engine combustion process and cause 'runaway'. You may also have damaged the cat/DPF.

it could be a number of things
    1. head gasket
    2. stem seals
    3. turbo gone
    4. or the oil has got into the exhaust from to much oil and when it gets hot buring the oil in the exhaust

Stripped down today to find the turbo has gone and oil has been sucked back through the inlet!
