    Default Turbo safety feature ?

Just a quickie guys, when i start car in morning from cold there seems to be no boost for first 3 or 4 mins of driving if i do go above 2k sometimes boost will kick in and jolt me back.
Now i'm sure i was told that there's a turbo safety feature that cuts boost until oil and circulated is this true ?
Does anyone else's 2.0 Dti do this ?

After that its fine no faults

On our 2.2DTi Auto you can feel a sort of jolt of power when it's cold. On a roundabout exit when I accelerate (engine at around 1900rpm) the car just jumps and gives more power for a split second. I like it lol

Why would you even rev it that high?

I bet the car's already used to it so it doesn't even feel the abuse If I did this to mine it would explode in a 1000000 pieces lol

I dont drive like but sometimes if I need to overtake in the morning it looses power at 4k - i forget that but after the engines been running properly it could be red lined although I dont do that.

l think you'll find that's why it refers not to rev above a certain amount till it gets warm in the manual.cdti's are the same.

My mother redlined her old Vec C 2.0DTi when the engine was cold. No problem.

then again m8 we're not supposed to use more than a quarter of the throttle pedal's travel either when driving - but who really follows that rule.
