    If it's the service light ie an oil can with spanner showing in the display of the rev counter (Prefacelift) or insp shown on the milage display (facelift) then you don't need a reader to reset it. http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...+service+light Just follow the instructions on here and it will reset your service indicator.     i bought one off ebay £35 that seems to do the job on my 1.8 sxi it reads all the codes and turns the light off. it is a code reader obd 11 u480

    p.s......the 1565 fault code has occurred 3 or 4 times times since we've had the car - now 3.5years & 40K miles.....Ste's accelerator/footpedal method mentioned above identified it and once another one 0567, but the code reader didn't identify either...they disappeared of their own accord after a few weeks.....

    Seems they were not 'permanent'....may be worth 'Searching' for code readers & other titles to do with fault code/diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) & Readers...there's lots of posts on here with members experiences...cheers
