    Default Wrong car...D'oh!

Well was just poodling up behind an Audi on the slip road entering on to the M25 this morning. Now I'm almost 45 and don't really pee about or drive mad, but the Audi did a sort of "follow this" kind of acceleration.
Well i thought, might as well give the CDTi 150 a clear out and open her right up, after all, it's only an ordinary looking Audi TDi.

Well I was left looking very second rate so say the least, it just went! Bye

    Only a paltry A3 TDi I thought!!

    2.0 TDI (170ps) 0-60 7.7 s 139 mph 167 bhp
    Silly me

    Yeah they are rapid

How can you tell it was a 170PS and not a 140?? I ask this because the give away on the A4 is that it has twin tail pipes - ie one either side where as the 140 only has a twin exit on the one side (if you know what I mean ).

I think the pure honest fact he went away like I had the flipping handbrake on! It just went!
So was guessing it was a 170 I think as the 140 would have been a bit more equal.

ok miss read sorry, but they have a dpf so occasionally if you're lucky you will get by them , then again could have been a boxed 140

My company car is Seat Leon FR 170 Tdi, yeah they have DPF but it's a quick car, re-mapped they hit 205bhp, minus DPF they make 215 - 220bhp!

well think about it, most tuning is electrical so its not hard to map a diesel and then theres a turbo, bit more boost and its away, but if you compare a 2.0 turbo diesel with petrol the petrol will still be faster

Thats the problem if u try and race them when there already moving like there in 2nd or 3rd gear already then you'll struggle cause of there better torque will pull them away.

But from a standstill 1st gear upwards you'll have a much better chance and if your in a 3.2 i'd put my money on you just about!
