    Default Busy day today!

Well finished work about 12, home for quarter to 1, figured i'd crack on started off washing the car, me dad came home mid wash, got him to fit my GID as i'd rather a qualified spark sort it than me Whilst he sorted out the GID, I gave my car a dry off, then polished & waxed, only just finished now! Also fitted my colour coded side repeaters, quality stuff, thanks again Ditchp!

Also, have the error "Check Safeguard" come up, any idea what that is?

Check Safeguard means the alarm system isn't happy, e.g. a sensor or wire has been dislodged perhaps.

Funny that, when I first got the car, it was forever going off on its own, will have to look into this

The grill with the strip looks best on moonland grey IMO The kenwood unit? I got it with my first car, struggle to get rid of it but I can't imagine it was much, the fascia was about £15 from halfords too. The GID was £40 off ebay, wiper stalk £15, 32 pin plug £10.

Also got a query, the GID isn't connected to the code reader, any idea why it has to be, and how? Also the how2 says pin 3 & 11, does the pin order start from bottom left?

I think my dad's got a code reader, a universal one, will have a look later, but from the sounds of it, it seems an easy fix I never needed tech2/op com, is that because my car's half canbus?
