    Default tyre wear

    Hi guys, when i did the pi's last week i noticed excessive wear to both inner edges of rear tyres..........and the camber looked excessive(even before dropping it)......any thoughts?

    Get a 4 wheel alignment done?
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    yea......thought of that......but i had it done in september last year .......is there much adjustment on the rears tho?........thanks

    It depends on who and how it was done
    Some places claim to do a four wheel alignment, but all they do is place the mirrors on all four wheels then align the front making sure the toe = 0

    Find a local agent with Hunters equipment (alignmycar.co.uk) and make sure they are using the correct settings for your car
    I found that my local agent was using generic settings for the Vectra so went to another and the difference was quite staggering (especially on the rear)

    National Tyres recently admitted to me that was what they were doing, only if you asked about the rear alignment would they say, "Without the correct camber settings, all we do is report to the customer that there is a variance between the two and the car needs to go to a specialist"

    They changed their policy at the end of last year (as did Kwik Fit), and should now state to you, "We are only checking the front wheel alignment. We can check the rear alignment but the customer must request and supply this information, but no rear adjustment will take place as it is a check only"
