    Default Confused???

When i drive with my spare key the doors lock when i pull off. is this supposed to happen?
Also done an insurance quote with Tescos & when i enter my reg it comes up as a 120 which obviously makes the insurance considerably cheaper. Should i take it as its their fault or is it a bit risky?
    Any ideas guys?

its anti-hijack system so the doors lock do they unlock when you turn the engine off????

as for insurance i would tell them tbh if you needed to claim they might void it for wrong info

they dont lock with the main key i use tho.
i was thinking that with the insurance but surely isnt that their fault. lets say i know nothing about cars & i dont know what the hell a 120 or 150 is. i would be none the wiser.

You can argue that it is their fault but I wouldn't want to have to argue that when it's been written off by some other idiot. They really will wiggle out of a payment if they can!

    What does the V5C say?

I thought 'drive lock' was programmable for the key which is used....

The anti hijacking must have been programmed with the spare in the first place, which is why your other key doesn't do it... i had the same when i swapped keys once.

I would deffo tell the insurance the mistake tbh... recently i did an "askmid" check on my old 53plate dti just out of interest lol... it's insured as a veb-b dti cdx i certainly wouldn't want to be in there shoes if they have to make a claim

The anti-hijacking is key dependent, you need to program it with each key, either on or off whichever you prefer.

About the insurance thing, it makes you wonder who puts these onto their database and ****s them all up/puts them in a different syntax. You would have thought there would be a standard method of doing it that they would stick to...
