As in the title, this is a very specific technical query.
Those of you who have read my threads, will be aware that I have fitted a full Can Radio to a Non Can vehicle...upto now I have everything but BC functions on my CD70.
My problem is this...from what I can determine, the engine check details are sent down a brown/yellow wire from the ECU to the instrument cluster.
Then by some form of Canbus magic, the "data packet" signal for all this comes out from the other side of the instrument cluster to the low speed canbus.
This canbus signal (to / from CIM and BCM) provides all the engine info to the display...in my case a Graphic Info Display.
And so provides most of the BCM functions...
My mission, should I choose to take it, is that I need to identify the interior electronics of the instrument (resisters, semi-conductors etc) so that I can reproduce the signal conversion, without installing three-quarters of an instrument cluster behind my glove box.
I already have a BCM, CIM and light switch assembly in their bare-bones state stripped down to pcb form, tucked up behind there.
So my question is, does anyone have a detailed PCB / schematic drawing, or a faulty instrument circuit board that I can decypher and work to...
Incidentally, I am also looking for a scrap Corsa BCM, as this will provide fuel tank content / level figures.
Not your run of the mill query, but worth an ask all the same.
Thanks in advance,
