    Default front end judder

    hi guys,

i'm getting a shake through the steering it starts at about 65, i've had all the wheels balanced, checked all the ball joints and bushs and can't find any play, have also swopped all the wheels around, but its still there.
    any ideas.
have been told it mit be the brake discs, i can feel a slight pulse through the pedal, but have never heard of the wheels shaking through worped discs.

This is the same as what's happening to my vectra. When your stopping in your car and snowing down just about to stop and have a light grip of your wheel do your front wheels seem to have a mind of their own?

    Hope that makes sense?

When i brake my wheels wobble and turn off to one side - could be the left, could be the right... no set pattern. Its not always been like this and its getting worse. Steering arms? is there such a thing?

mine only does it at speed when you come to a stop it seems smooth.

sounds like steering arms/track rods or maybe track rod ends or lower ball joints, worst case even play in the steering rack. best thing to do is jack it up and pull the wheels around to see if you can find any play.
had to do my track rods a few weeks ago. but the car did stop in a straight line.

had a good look today and the drop links seem a bit lose, but again not sure if this would make the steering wobble. not getting any knocking either which i thought you got from worn drop links.

Maybe its the tyres? I found when I had XL tyres from a Vectra estate on my Signum, it followed the uneven road more.
