Tech 2 or not?

Hi all,

sorry if this is explained else where but how can you tell if your car has tech 2 or not? do i have to ring the dealers for this info?

Just trying to work out wether to get CD70 stereo or alpine double din instead?

I have 04 plate 1.9cdti SRI (150)

Do you have 6 buttons on the steering wheel or the rollers?

I think your getting confused, tech 2 is the diagnostic machine that plugs into the car.

I think you mean canbus and half canbus, look on your steering wheel if it has 3 buttons each side thats half canbus, if it has scroll wheels on the steering wheel then it has full canbus.

It would be easier to fit the alpine as the CD70 is a full can (yours is only half can) stereo and would take a bit of work to fit

Not always, full canbus can be more of a pain lol.

oh right i see, thanks for your help, still not sure what to do with screen above stereo as its a bit basic. Any ideas?
