    Default exhaust soot problem?

i am having a problem keeping my irmscher quad exhausts clean, over the week they go black and its starting to stick real bad!!!
the car does not smoke at all but the sootyness drives me mad.
i use the megs metal polish and autosol but i think i need somekind of end for my drill or silverline mop that will get them spanking but wont scratch or cause any damage.

    any suggestions guys?

You could always get a petrol Vectra Rich.
    Are they chrome or stainless?.
Stainless would be easier to work with.

My newly-acquired 1.9CTI 150's tailpipe doesn't get as sooty as the ones on my old Edition100 - and I don't hang about when the mood takes me. Funny that.....

Sometimes I dont clean mine for a couple of weeks on end, but they only require a wipe to get clean, but have been coated with some pink windowlene..... great stuff for chrome/metal is that stuff.
