    Default Continuing Car problem (saga)

As most of you are aware I've been having a problem with my 1.9 CDTi for a while now. Initially the car started hesitating quite badly and was coughing and spluttering. Tech2 reported an open electrical circuit on injector number 3. The dealer replaced this injector and all seemed OK.

About a month later the problem re-occurred. Tech2 reported the same fault. The dealer had a conflab with Vauxhall Technical who requested that the fuel rail be swapped out. This was carried out with no change. Still reporting an electrical fault in injector number 3.

Technical then requested that a new ECU was fitted. After the change, you guessed it the same fault. So they requested the wiring harness to the injectors be swapped out. All seemed fine but my dealer requested to keep the car to fully test. 24 hours later Tech2 reports a fault with injector number 2 this time.

After fitment of a new injector the ECU won't pick it up. The dealer is now in another conflab with Vauxhall Technical as to the next step. They've tried different software profiles to no avail.

Warranty work so far on my car -
    1. Rear suspension bushes
    2. Tailgate rattle fixed
    3. New Manifold/Turbo
    4. Various Fuel Injectors
    5. New Fuel Rail
    6. New ECU
    7. New Wiring Harness
    8. Car hire for me on various occasions (about 9 weeks worth)
    8. Plus Labour

I wonder if I can claim a loan of a VXR for Billing as compensation???

could this be the result of tuning boxes in any way?

might be the reason they couldn't find the real cause of the problem

    That's what's scary isn't it?

It's OK having all the extra power, but it's at the back of my mind that there could be a payback somewhere.

The Dealer and Vauxhall Technical seem to think it's an electrical problem.

All the parts that a tuning box effects have been changed (injectors, rail, harness & ECU) but we're still getting the same problem.

    Everyone's stumped.

Stop worrying, whats the worst that could happen..........

    a) Engine blows up whilst being chased by the police, causing you to swerve in front of a cattle truck, driven by an uninsured refugee.

    b) Scroats reading your posts on the forum decide to pinch your beloved vectra during the dead of night, using the torque from your tuning box to ram raid a womans lingurie store, leaving it ablaze for the insurance company to find (the black box always survives).

    c) Boss sacks you for beating him away from the lights on the way to work, even though he just bought a brand new VXR. How can a CDTi beat a VXR with blue neons.

Cant you tell I'm bored this afternoon
