Default Signum 2.2 DTi cutting out/ loss of power

Suprise suprise!! After only 2 weeks of owning a Signum 2.2DTi it's booked into the garage for Monday. Keeps 'missing beats' at speed and I've had it cutting out/ loss of power when pulling out at junctions. The final straw was last night when coming home from work. Sitting in the central resevation of the dual carrageway, pulled out onto the road then it splutterers and stopped accross both lanes! Panicked and hit the throttle and she slowly came to life again, just making it accross the road before the traffic flew past. Thank god the kids were not in there with me!
Never noticed the engine/spanner light come on though.
Not even going to drive it the rest of the week. Guess this will be the start of my bank account being emptied.

    Eek

Heard back from the garage today. Said it needs a new throttle body. Hope this does the trick. Should I get the EGR cleaned out as well?

Car has a 3 month warranty on it, thank god! Kinda lost a wee bit of confidence with the car. If it so much as coughs next week it's going straight back! Think I'll get a mate to do the EGR cause I'm hopeless under the bonnet.

Mine had the same problem. A new throttle body fixed the issue.

Mine done the same and Vauxhall fixed it for free.
    Boost Sensor needed cleaning.
Take off the top plastic cover and 1 torx screw holds the sensor on located at right hand side front of head.
There is a thread on here somewhere with pictures about how to clean it.
Fixed my problem and it was loosing power and spanner light coming on when stopping at junctions, traffic lights etc.
