The insurance route is a right pain to go down, mine was a total loss last month and still isnt sorted..
Quickest option is to get it repaired and give him the bill..

Notified my insurance (Chris Knott) and they told me to tell him to notify his as legal obligation. They said try and settle it yourself, but if not I have him on two counts: A, I was stationery in traffic flow and B, he was emerging from minor onto main round so should have give way.

Have to say so far Chris Knott being very helpful, even had drive assist repair company phone ten minutes after putting phone down from reporting accident.

Think this will be going through insurance! Went to get quote from visual inspection and they want £700 +VAT to replace bumper. Phoned the guy up he said I'll bring you cash on sunday. Ten mins later I get another call from him "My mates got a garage can I get him to give you a quote" "No" I replied, "ok can you get another quote thats a bit high". Ten mins later yet another call "no need to get another quote I'll bring money round on sunday".

To me this doesn't seem right some how, anyway my insurance are advising me go through them, which I am doing. They already have it down as his fault so wont cost me a penny, just can't take the risk that it is just the bumper.
