Starting problem help needed asap

the car has been sitting awile over xmas but im trying to start it thismorning

put a battery booster on it, nothing just clicks when i tried to turn it over

so got the jump leads out to my transit left it 10 mins revved the transit
still no start up just a click

also my central locking is not working at all but the electric windows ect all work

anyone got a clue whats going on i know the battery is not knackered as it started up fine 3 weeks ago by itself

I would check the battery in your key fob just an idea might not be turning the imobilser off

thats what it was

got it started now but funny things are going on, the electrics seem all to pot when they where fine before the car was left over winter

ahhhhh im getting fed up with this car

In all honesty, you don't want to be leaving it standing that long, anything more than a couple of weeks and you really ought to think about buying a battery optimiser, especially if the battery is more than a few years old.

And if your leaving the car standing, the one thing you don't want to do is start/stop the engine before doing so, it won't have time to recover it's charge and that will lead to sulphation = damage.

It keeps the battery top up charged, but it's far better than leaving it simply connected to a charger, it monitors the battery and applies the correct level of charge to keep the battery in good condition.
