    Default Hi folks

I've just bought a diesel Vectra 2.2 dti sri. Anyone know of any issues that I might have to be wary about ????
I'll put up some photos at some point. Has done 135000 miles but reckon its well worth it with the full Irmscher kit it has on it. Think a set of t 18" Snowflake alloys would look good. Any info on what mods would be good for it would be appreciated !!!

Have a search for 'em, I think the fuel pumps are bad on the DTI's, and costly, but someone will confirm it for you!

The dti's like to blow hoses lol, be it vaccum hoses or boost hoses.

Neither are too difficult nor expensive to replace, boost sensors and egrs like to have a clean out every few months too.

Fuel pumps failing are a rarity, my DTi has had a tuning box on it for about 9k without fault (touches wood), use good quality branded fuel (Shell,BP etc.) and avoid supermarket fuel. Also to keep the pump well lubed and the engine running sweet i'd advise using some Millers ecoMax or whatever its called (Used to be called Diesel Sport 4)

And if the pump does fail (again very rare) they don NOT cost 1500-1800 quid as some folk will tell you and a second hand pump CAN be used.

Excellent engine as long as its looked after though, enjoy

not to sure what the boost sensors are or egr's or where to find them lol. Think I need to get my head stuck in a book about them so I can learn, or is there anywhere I can get info on how to do it myself??
