    Default 05 1.9cdti sri 120 advice

Yes i know another thread lol

Im going to look at a pre facelift sri 1.9cdti 120bhp first thing in the morning. It has 59k on the clock with a service history, just looking some advice on what to look for to check the dmf etc. My old design had the 120 1.9cdti engine and i put 6k on it in 4 months without any problems apart from a glow plug and rear arb bushes. So should i expect the the same reliability from this sri?

    Cheers

Same engine mate, as for dmf it will need replacing at some point. I think that the 120 is the more reliable engine from what I have read but a mate of mine has replace 2 flywheels in the last 3 years, its just you luck imo. There are good and bad mine is a dti which is slower but all I have done is service it in and put tyres on in 20k

Thats just it mate, you just don't know. Main think for me is previous owner and history, my car done 4k a year before I got it and it had a pair of Jack Duckworth glasses and a pipe in the glove. So it wasn't owned by some boy racer that hammered it everywhere lol.
