Was at the girl friends the other night there was quite frost. I turned my car over and the spanner light has come on(amber). Over the past few weeks or so i have noticed the engine sounding a bit louder than usual and doesnt sound as smooth on tickover there is a small rattle, but once the engine is warm it doesnt seem any different to when i first got it.

Anybody any ideas b4 i go to see the mechanic??

Best to get codes read mate it could be a number of things eg:EGR,Hoses,Injector loom
Once codes are read post them up and we will be able to give some advise


it might be best stating what veccy you have as well

will do bigmac i have a 120bhp cdti. ill hopefully get the codes read tomorrow all being well but fingers crossed until then.

just out of interest are injector looms expensive?

guessing you have a deisel.........hopefully not the DMF but if it is really loud then it could be

right guys a got my car looked at and the guy gave me a code itsP0380 anybody got any idea's, his computer said it was a glowplug/heater circuit problem circuit general error?? possible causes open air short circuit, glowplug relay

anybody ever had the same??

you have a glow plug off mate thats what po380 glow device general error means advise to replace them all . they are a little bit awkward to get at if its 8v 120

cool paul thats exactly what my car is showing, ill have to get on the ball 2moro and buy them among other bits and bob's the joy's of owning the vectra lol
