    Default Mobile Networks

    I'm sure one of you lot will be able to answer this.

    Which network does T-Mobile use (ie Orange, Vodafone, O2)

    i think t-mobile has its own network as it used to be cellnet i think, i could be wrong
    its hard to keep up with who is buying who out, apparently orange are owned by the same group that own vodafone, hows that for competition??

    I am with T-mobile and they are independant, however I think they were Cellnet when they started out. Hope that helps.

    T-Mobile is independant.

    It used to be called One2One and operates on the GSM1800 frequency (Same as Orange). o2 and Vodafone operate on the GSM900 frequency.

    All 4 networks operate their own 'network' for mobile phones.

    3G uses their own 3G network and then o2 network for 2G calls.

    yep, it was o2 that used to be celnet iremember when we were first issued mobile phones at work in the early ninties. t-mobile were one -two one or as we used to call it "none to none" because you could never get a connection. ah, the good old days!!!

    My kids got T Mobile phones from their granny fror Christmas a couple of years ago, and the only place they got signal was standing on top of the bunk beds with the phone pressed against the ceiling. A little inconvenient!!!!!!

    Our work is quite funny. I work for a Mobile Phone manufacturer, one of our main customers is vodafone and guess what network cant get a signal anywhere in our building????

    one2one was geat in the london area right at the beginning! rubbish else where though.. but you could get free weekend and evening calls.... then they were trying to buy back all the contracts for 1 - 2 k each when the other players came on the market
