    Default Which Brand?

As most of you know I had to copy spikey in getting the Koni FSD shocks, which are fantastic! (cheers spikey) I fitted them myself but the nuts that hold the caps on to the top of the front springs could do with being a bit tighter. So can anyone recommend a brand of spanners to do this as the ones I have dont have a big enough off-set to get them really tight if you know what I mean? Any help will be great

    Cheers

I take it you mean the big centre nut on the strut matt??

I always just use a socket and a torque wrench..

I agree with you that spanners, particularly the combination ones that are so popular these days, just don't come in more that 15 degree offset..I've got some old britool ring spanners with about 80 degree offset, but a socket is just as good..

Its the big nut on the top of the front shock. So will I not need a ring spanner as you have to use a torx bit aswell to tighten it?

    Cheers

    sorry mate.. you will..

I've got the 'through the middle' damper sockets that let you get to the strut.. a bit expensive to buy for just one job..

can i suggest a trip to the snap-on van?? they're a gloryhole for 'oddjob' tools.

Since I lowered mine I have noticed, particularly the other day at the Chipped UK meet that the camber angle looks quite severe from a distance. Not a real problem other than uneven tyre wear, fortunately this doesn't seem to be a problem. Plus the added grip when cornering at speed means it's almost impossible to get the back end to step out. I've tried, but my bottle goes way before the car wants to lose rear end grip
