Default New Vectra SRi150 estate owner....roof spoiler?

    Hi all,

I got my 1.9 SRi estate about 3 weeks ago now and I must say that I'm well impressed so far.

I've done the airbox mod and fitted a K&n panel filter to help her breathe a little easier. Even these simple mods made a difference!!

After a little research on these pages a found out about a great little chipbox - the "caterman" chip - and just had to invest.......where else can you get an increase in power and torque like that for so little outlay? Around 30bhp for £75, what a bargain!

My only gripe with the car so far has got to be the way that the rear end, and especially the back window, gets so dirty in the wet!

So to the point in this post........Will a roof spoiler help to stop the spray coating the back window?

I love the look of the Irmscher spoiler, but can't justify the spend if it isn't going to help. Has anyone got any experience that they'd like to share?

    Thanks

a roof spoiler wont do anythig for deflecting the dirt, but it will look extreemly nice...

Gutted that it won't do anything about the crud over the back window

Just stopped off on the way home and paid some spods penny's to wash & polish it - looked fantastic until I got in and started driving - 2 mile drive home and you wouldn't believe it had been washed!! Washer bottle has just run empty so can't see out of the back window & you can barely make out the number plate!!

Besides I can't afford the spoiler and spraying at the mo'. Had the car a month - alternator replaced already and the inlet manifold needs doing.
