Quick Roof bar question...

I have just forked out finally for a roofbox and now have to get some roof bars for my Vec C with fixpoint. Been looking on ebay and keep seeing saloon and hatchback mentioned. Is it a case one fits all or do I have to get specific for an estate car? Thanks

estate roof bars are differet, have a look at the roof rails that run from front to back, the roof bars attatch to these, on the saloon and hatchback they connect to the side of the roof (usually a couple of holes underneath the door seal once you open door)

if fixpoint i think they are all the same.. only if you have roofrails they differ.

The rear roof bar on the estate is shorter than the hatch/saloon
but can be made to fit if you cut about 10mm off one end and ream out the fixing holes on the bar

Can anyone tell me if these on ebay would fit my estate, looks like they could go for a good price if Im lucky. I know absolutely nothing about roof bars and boxes so guessing as I bought a Thule box it should go with a Thule bar...just dont want to pay the £130+ for the bars from a dealer!
