i think it's shocking after all they are doing the job they are getting paid for in the first place
my vote give them nothing
Yeah give them nothing... as long as that doesn't include HSBC
morally i think they should forego their bonuses & elect to pay the government that money to repay them for bailing them out, greedy bu99ers!
surely they get paid enough in the 1st place!
lucky they still have a job.that should be there bonus

Heard something along those lines a few weeks ago on R4 news. Shocking. Our bonuses are so big because we are the best at what we do, there needs to be incentive for us to stay so that the level of custom and banking is maintained. Pay peanuts and you get monkies
The latest is that the tax payers will not see any of the money used to bail the banks until 2015? What would the banks say if you took out a loan then said that they would not start to get any repayments for 5 years??!! It makes me sick. These bonuses should be paid to the treasury as and when, not to the big wig who works 10-4 monday to friday.
Similar story with the MP expenses, the investigation has cost more than is owed? Then make any of them found guilty pay their percentage of the costs!! Makes sense to me.
Sorry for the rant, I have started listening to Radio 4 news!!
I thought there was a 50% tax on bankers big bonuses getting set a while ago? Or did this not take effect?
IIRC, it was a 1-off tax. They'll get round it somehow.
Ah yes, just found this:

Seems there is a few ways around it

They are the worst at what they do, the level of banking has nosedived almost dragging down civilisation with it, and they are monkeys and should be paid in peanuts.
