    Default Boost valve torx bolt??

Took boost valve off yesterday to clean and now the torx bolt will not tighten up again, although it tightens up ok without the boost valve in place?? Anyone have any ideas, seems like its not long enough to catch thread in hole???

Sounds like you haven't seated the boost valve properly

cross threaded bolt - you need a new one (bolt)..

check the bolt thread and see if you can see where the bolt has been cross threaded.. If it tightens when the boost valve is not in place this would confirm the cross threaded bolt as the bolt thread will be gripped further up the bolt due to the boost valve not being there.

As AntSSS says, check the threads at the end of the bolt, you should be able to see if they're damaged or worn
