    Default Decisions decisions (i500 bumper)

I've kinda had my heart set on buying another Vec, newer, bigger engine, facelift but in the same colour.

The head however has been saying keep the old dti and get it minted up.

So i've been looking into getting the i500 bumper from irmscher, I went to the local dealer today and I can get an i500 bumper with headlight washer hole (going to retrofit anyway) for 1008.68 + VAT and the parts guy I know said he could maybe get it discounted for me

The third option I thought of doing was a facelift conversion but I like to be a bit different

So what do you guys think? New car, i500 rep, facelift?

To be honest, that's a question only you can answer, but if you can live with no recouping costs back at resale then i would say the facelifting or i500 route would be my vote - as you know your car and spent money on it already.

Very true mate, I would however be keeping the old sri bumper and refitting before selling. If I was to be getting rid of the car i'd hopefully get at least 500 quid for the bumper although that would be a long way away lol

Agreed with Dan - your not going to get the true worth of your car when you trade/sell so if it was me i would face lift rather than i500 it and sell on the old bumper and bits to keep the costs down

Sod it, forget what your head is telling you, if you can afford the i500 route then do it, the car will look great as long as the rest of the car lives up to the bumper. Personally I prefer the pre-facelift to the facelift but then I would say that! Get the i500 bumper because if you don't you will always be wishing you had. The facelift would only ever be second best and you'd be thinking it every time you looked at your motor.

take the i500 bumper mate, at least you will be different. there are plenty of facelifts everywhere and just a few vecs with an i500 bumper around the globe

i especially love the "WTF?!?" effect on the street when people ask me if my car is a new audi or something like that

my vote goes for the i500 bumper if you can justify spending that much on a piece of plastic, i could

if it were me then i50 all day long, but you are never going to get the side skirt's made as IRMSCHER will not make them for anyone anymore and if i500 it would have to be the full i500 kit.

    just my opinion john
