Default Boot Lid Squeeking - Budgie sound...

Threads have been done before with cures etc, but is it the rubber tipped stoppers rubbing against the plastic pad on the chassis? bit of a design floor then surely...

Cant remember who said they used velco which seems a good idea, i was thinkin furniture bottom protectors or similar but only keep seeing light colours...

Just adjust the boot lock hasp. It has two bolts, slacken them off and move the hasp further away from the lock as it were (downover), and the boot will shut tighter. Did this to my pre-facelift when I had that bother

Done that, and the lid is tight as hell... can only think its them rubbing the plastic thats causing it now...

Even pulled them right out so lid was shut but sticking up from rear quarters and it did it still...

Dont think its the shelf, even tho the pull out stops are perfect lengh now i think its them...

You could try that door edge protector stuff and run it on the edge of the shelf itself?!?

(shoot me now for being VERY untechnical , you know the bit just up from the bumper that the boot lock erm locks on to , I greased that and it seemed to kill the budgie. To demonstrate I have stole smiley-sri's pic from the ICE gallery (hope you don't mind but I thought I would easily find an open boot picture in there)
