    Default V6 3.0 CDTI Injectors

Seem to have an oil leak from the top of no.2 injector on the front bank.

Anyone had any experience of removing the injector and replacing the seal?

    Thanks

    You have to remove:
Inlet manifold, common rail, pipes leading to common rail, rocker cover, various coolant pipes and sensors, etc.

    Good luck.

Since your car is probably out of warranty, find a local diesel specialist and ask if they have experience of the Y30DT engine
I wouldn't recommend doing injector replacement unless you can guarantee the area you are working in is perfectly clean, otherwise the replacement injector may not work correctly

Equally, if you are replacing one injector you may as well replace the other five, but that will push the price up considerably (from memory each injector is near on £100)

Oh no m8internet...each injector is 700+ at dealers
I have a full set of injectors from a broken motor that worked fine before the liners dropped.

My mechanic who never saw a Y30DT did the job perfectly. I was watching all along and no special tools were needed, the rear bank can be tricky though but he made it seem like a doddle

Prices vary by country, as we have found!
Here in the UK the injectors seem to be reasonably priced, I only got a quote a few weeks ago, £108 plus VAT, per injector

WHAT? ONLY 108 QUID? There can't be a 600% difference

    That works out at £650
However that may be the entire injector assembly
