Vectra C 2.2 Direct SRI Petrol
Hi guys,

Now I have owned this car for 1 week (its a 56 plate 2007) and since then ive joined a few forums and have noticed that there is a common problem with the fuel pump and the high pressure regulator.
Now im wondering how common this problem is as all you ever here about is how many go wrong and how much it costs to repair.
Is there anyone who knows how reliable this model is or am I just waiting for it to go wrong.

I would say if its going to go it will no use worrying about something that may never happen,There are a lot of story's about fuel pumps going and such but there's no way of knowing when or if it will go so as long as you service it correctly it should be fine (touch wood)

hi mate i have had my 2006 2.2 since October 2008 and only now the pump & reg have gone Pete tong so i had 16 months problem free motoring but others haven't been so lucky so its all down to luck i think

use nothing but v power and you'll be fine....

I've done 9000 miles and had no issues at all.

I've been running mine for a over a year now and not had a problem.

compare it against how many people are having issues with the cdti engines - that will answer the question.
