    Default Turbo Help

Ok a while ago i did the airbox mod and didnt realise anything, but recently i have a noisey turbo. It may have been there since i did the airbox mod but i may have not noticed it.

Its a very whistley noise when the turbo is about to kick in then all the way through, is this because ive done the airbox mod and its getting more air and making it louder or is my turbo blowing maybe?

    help?

    Matt

Haha yeh there is a louder whistle and every now and again you hear the air exit when you let off. If it was blowing would i have power loss? or a feel of less boost when the turbo kicks in?

It certainly doesnt feel like its lost any, maybe the airbox mod has just made it louder and more noticeable.

Now thats what i'm talking about, as soon as i get my car back from the garage i think the airbox mod will be the first thing i do. The louder the better is what i say.

with the engine management an issues on the turbo would indeed bring on any of around 15 different fault codes pointing hopefully to the area in question - your just now hearing the turbo spool/chatter much more clearly
