    Default does a new steering wheel airbag need tech2

    hi all
    just need to know if a brand new steering wheel airbag needs to be tech2'd or programed in any way or is it just plug n play.

    Think its plug and play Mark,they don't need coded its just the controlers

    Yup, they just plug straight in mate, if there's an issue at all the light will come on. I've had that once when one of the connectors wasn't fully home, but pushing it in and reconnecting the battery sorted it...

    cheers guys

    also do you know if thiers any differance between a vectra and an astra airbag system.
    had a look at the complete wiring for both and they seem to be the same apart from some which has a differant colour plug but still looks like it has the same fitting.

    Not listing as interchangeable, normally if its interchangeable it'll list it across all platforms it will work on.... Best bet is to try it and see if it goes off

    I thought it would be a try and see and hope it dont go off.
    better get the old crash test dummy suit out.
    are the normal facelift driver airbags interchangeable.
    could you fit an astra airbag to yours.
