prob a good chance they will write it off. if they do just ask em if you can buy it back and go to scrappers for new bits. its usually pennies to buy it back off em!

it will get repaired mate, if the rear quater pannel had been hit then there was more chance of them writting it off.

If there's sill damage they will write it off, May only be a Cat D so still worth 70% of the market value.

I'm still going through an accident claim for my previous car (Laguna 04 1.9 dCI) - some idiot ran into the back of me and the insurer's have written it off.

I was given the choice of accepting 4K for it (it had high milage) or 3.2K and the car back which was basically buying my own car back for just shy of 800 quid.

I took the full amount so I could invest in my first Veccy I have seen the light and it's not French cars..

As there damage was to the chassis, I'd need to have the vehicle repaired and then it would need a DOT test (VIC) to ensure it was road legal and safe. I was told the test costs between 40 and 50 quid.

Check this out for more info.

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring...cle/DG_4022107

so basically - if you can fix your car and pass it's VIC, you can get it back for pennies.

Il get pics up tomorro to let yous have a look. I had a chat with an old friend who used to work in the car trade and he reckons they will put it down as a cat d because of the damage to the sill, it also needs a rear axle. Im hoping they write it off tbh fancy something different.
