    Talking HELLO and HELP lol

    Hi all,

1st I'd like to say hello and introduce my self.... My name is Dave and i have just sold my Astra SRI XP 1.9cdti for my Veccy and am very much loving it at the mo.... Im a Event's Team Organiser On A.O.N (astra owners network) and have been a member there for a good couple of years now..... I have had this site recommended to me so i hope you will make me as welcome as they did when i 1st joined there.....

    Now to the pics....

    My Old Astra

She was a 1.9cdti with the following spec,

    Regal remap 202bhp 349lbft
    Mongoose Exhaust
    VXR springs and Dampers
    Whiteline RARB
VXR steering wheel and gear knob
    De-restricted air box
and loads of cosmetic bits inside and out...

    Enjoy

NOW on to my NEW toy........

    Vectra SRI NAV XP 2.0Turbo

Standard bar a vxr steering wheel (for now any way)

NOW i have LOADS of questions on this car to bore you with as i have never owned a Veccy before so i am hoping you will be kind enough to help.....

    1) I have a Forge D/V on order, Are they easy to fit
    2) Every now and then when she cold i get the Odd hesitation when on light Throttle, is this normal
    3) I seem to get a very Low Pitch kinda rumble noise at any speed above 20-30mph... It doesn't seem to change pitch regardless of the speed I'm doing.......

Sorry for all the Q's guy's but i know LOADS about Astra's but SOD ALL about Vectra's lol....

As for #3, have you checked the tyre pressures on your flakes? If you do a search for correct tyre pressures on flakes you'll find the right ones, I think they're in the region of 38 PSI or so. Oh and welcome to the site, and very nice car you have got, and had

hi mate - welcome along to the forum
    ... regarding no 2
remove the air filter box top =take out the air filter and you should see that only half of your filter is dirty
remove the "trumpet" cover on the bottom box - replace the filter (nice time to fit a K&N or other performance filter) and reassemble - you will notice a VERY slight increase in sound - but the hesitation should dissapear as the car will be getting more air

    hth

    regards

    Dez

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
