Auto Gear box problems.

My car has just had a cam belt change today, on the way home it's now devloped a problem with the gearbox, driving normally it's fine up and down through the gears in both automatic and semi automatic mode, however as soon as i engage the cruise control i only get 5th gear.
If i turn the engine off and on again the problem goes away and i get all the gears again.
Going straight back to the garage in the morning but just want what's up with it.
