    Default graunching noise from front

At xmas I changed my front springs, Ive done about 4k miles since then and now when i turn left or right i get a horrible graunching noise coming from the wheel area. Everything is fine in a straight line. I'm gonna get it jacked up as soon as i can but in the mean time does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be???

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

is the graunching noise when stationary/low speeds??

if so did you fit spring sheaths when you replaced them??

if not then it sounds like the spring moving on its mount ?

sheaths available from vx fit to the top and bottom of the spring there a few quid

No not when stationary, only when wheels are moving. I re fitted the old spring sheaths to the new springs.

    Graunching.

    What a great word.

When I read it I thought it must be one you'd made up.
    But Google says not. Brilliant.
