    Cool Sub added (56k Warning)

    Finally!!!

Safety first, 60amp fuse close to the battery:

Kicker Bass control at the dash:

    Close up:

The amp (Kicker KX600.1 D class):

And the sub (Kicker L7 Solobaric 12"):

Close up (with 1farad Lanzar Capacitor):

Today I installed everything, it sounds great, with a much more balanced sound from the CDR2005, but Iīm still waiting for a wired FM modulator for my Ipod to arrive to be completely happy (I tried the wireless one, it was rubbish)..

My main goal as you can see wasnīt aesthetics, it was space. I like to travel a lot and sometimes the free space in the trunk just isnīt large enough, so this installation can be removed in 5min, kind of a snap-on thingy, no single hole was drilled anywhere, so Iīm pretty happy with the outcome!

    Cheers pals!

Yep, itīs a CDR2005, the amp is a Kicker KX600.1 that accepts high level inputs (non RCA) so I just connected it to the rear speakers ouput from the head unit. The positive runs all the way from the battery to the amp in the trunk, on a 4 gauge cable and through a 60 amperes fuse at 30 cm from the positive terminal. The remote is connected to one of the empty fuse blocks that tested 12v positive in the II switch position. The ground was connected to a single bolt from the center seat belt.T hereīs a 1farad capacitor at 20cm from the amp to have some reserved power available at peaks (instead of underpowering the alternator), and thatīs it, itīs a really simple system, but that was the original idea, just to have a more balanced system with some bass presence and the power to be "punchy" from time to time (that would be at beer time with friends I guess )

    Cheers!

Bet you could swap your 60 amp fuse for a 30, or at least a 40, especially with a cap. Seriously, put the lowest fuse that doesn't blow in, and cover up the those power cap terminals. Not joking but my mate burnt out his galant that way.

PS Like the view of the amp though the ski hatch, nice.
