Default 2004 DTi Alarm Problems - Goes Off All The Time

    Hi all,

Got a problem with My vectr in the way that my alarm goes off all the time when it's locked.

I was wondering if there was any way to turn the sensitivity down or turn it off.

I didn't realise that these were thatcham approved so I haven't actually told my insurer that I have it so their is no issue there.

I know turning it off isn't the best solution but even sat at work I have to eithert leave the car unlocked, or constantly run outside to turn the bl**dy thing off

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

If it's an estate it might be the breakage sensors in the rear side windows.

Also try disabling the interior sensors by pressing the alarm button at the side of the radio just before you lock the car. This will tell you if the interior sensors are triggering the alarm. If this stops the alarm going off, then check for anything in the car that could move, including spiders in/near the sensors.

Can't be the rear window sensors then.

Yes, press the button and all of the alarm works as normal except for the interior sensors. It's so you can leave people or pets in the car and still lock it without them setting the alarm off.

You can also deadlock it (i.e. press the lock button twice) until you get the alarm sorted, but obviously you shouldn't do this when there actually are people still in the car otherwise they can't get out in an emergency.
