    Default 225 40 18 Tyres which ones

I need a pair of 225 40 18 for my Snowflakes, I'm looking at either Dunlop SP Sport MAXX at £104 each, or Avon ZZ3's at £86 each, not sure which way to go, I'm looking for something with good wear levels. I'm avoiding budgets as I can't seem to get decent mileage out of them.

Any views on these or any other brands I should consider?

    Thanks

    Shouldn't they be 225/45/18?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    That's what I'm thinking - 225 40 18 is the size fitted to Astra's with 18" snowflakes on.

Yeah wheels were from an Astra VXR, the rear dunlop 225 40 18's are like new and as I don't want to put larger profile tyres on the front only I'm sticking with the same size.

Yokohama's are soft so don't last too long in my experience.

Yeah have read good reviews on these and price is good, although I got told you get lots of road noise as they wear down?

They should be 225/45/18 according to Vauxhall but they are more expensive and 225/40/18's are fine but your speedo will be off a bit.

Yeah 45's are the correct profile but it would look nasty with 40's on the rear and 45's on the front, hence why I'm going for 40's.........

Anymore info on which brand to go for?
