    Default Car on ebay

A friend of mine is looking for a Mondeo v6, I've found this one on ebay not too far away. I think it might be ex plod but the seller hasnt said it is. Are ex police any good or is it best to avoid them? TIA Dave http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220553029149&ssPageNam e=STR...

had a couple of ex police cars and they are always very well looked after the problems come when you are the second or third owner after the police people dont care for them

as above the police cars will be serviced to within an inch of its life whilst attached to any police force as they have a duty of care to ensure the vehicles in tip top condition.

the car may have had a hard life being driven at high speeds -involved in scrapes and knocks and accidents - but again would have been repaired to a high standard -once its comes off "fleet" thats when the problems would start
radios and lights would be removed sold at auction - probably owned by a couple of people - some (like the folks on here) will have continued the tlc
others will have continued to drive it like a police car and failed to get it serviced

my advice would be to check the service history on the car - full history and it drives ok - worth a punt

no history -drives ok - your risk

no history and drives like a dog - walk away

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
