Default Strange one, lumpy rev from 1000-2000 while in neutral

Car Vaux Signum 53reg 2.0 Dti elite, 122k, full vaux service history, last service at 31/8/09 at 118k using longlife comma 5w30 fs oil,

Idle is fine, no missfire or flat spots with a steady needle, but as soon as i place my foot on the pedal from 1000 to 2000, there are places where the engine kind of miss fires or stutters, only happens in neutral, in gear its fine, no smoke or judder or missfire what so ever,

i do have a stuck open thermo otherwise its fine,

to note in the service history, the last three services 59k and 92k and 110k the vaux dealer has used 10w40 oil, instead of the 5w30 fs anyone know why the vaux dealer would use different then the book says...?

depends how bad it is normally you can feel it when the pedal is just moved slightly of the bottom ....but if it is totaly gone you may get a vibro try putting the clutch all the way down and reving the engine with it not in gear and see if it goes away .....other than that ya gotta have a look at the engine and see if it is missfireing ......

ok so clutch down and no stutter or missfire means dodgy dmf, if it still miss fires, which i think it will, then engine fault, i don't have any noise, just engine stutter, i do have the classic problem that if left for a few days I have to catch the gas at start up, and then gun it so it doesn't stall, could shot injector seals or a minor air leak in the fuel, engine side, cause this stutter,
