    Default Locking wheel nut help!

    i picked a set of facelift alloys up today the gut could not get the 2 front locking wheel nuts off so he chopped it from the drive shaft and steering arm,the locking wheel nut has an out sleeve that just spins i have tried smashing that outer ring i cant can't get the little **** off any advice would be great cheers

    Take it to a tyre fitter and they should remove for about 15 quid each

    Lol normally whatever they can to get it off, i believe that the collar around the lock nut has to be broken off first and then use a socket hammered on to whats left

    Go to your local factors and ask for a Vauxhall fitting locking nut cracker.
    Its a bacwards threding socket that you smack over the nut and ring. After a good wack it will crush the colar down. thats what i have been told to do????

    Just had a thought, when you say it was cut off the car does that mean that its just the hub disc etc thats left attached?

    Worst case, could you try and drill them off? Have you tried the hammering a old socket onto it? Thats what the AA had to do to mine once.

    ask the local vx dealer's if they have a MASTER set, if they have they will get them of for you

    hi mate i hammerd a socket on then the outer sleve just spins so had to weld an extension bar to the socket and spen 20 mins trying to get the socket off the locking nut the star shape is a mess now but would not work before hand i have brake caliper half a drive shaft trakrod end and hlaf of inner rod and hub disc attached to 2 wheels
