    Default help with hid query

fitted my hid kit today(35w 6000k) hid direct, well pleased and both are working but i have a slight discrepancy in that the one side seems to point higher than the other giving the impression that one side is brighter than the other, my problem is that i'm not sure which one is at the correct height , the drivers side seems less bright but it does look to be pointing lower than the passenger side one, as i said they are both working and i was gentle putting the bulbs in so am sure i hav;nt moved the light position, could it be that the bulb may have dislodged or anyone had any similar thing happen to them and if so how or what was the remedy..........cheers guys and sorry for another hid thread, any advice received with thanks

    hi mate

I have also just fitted 35w 6000k HID's and my passenger side seemed to point a little up. I took it apart again and noticed that the metal bulb holder had popped out of the clip, so i just put that back in and its all sorted

Try having a look to see if its popped out the clip......

I'd suggest the old favourite of parking a measured distance from a wall and measuring the heights of each 'flat' section of the pattern.
I'm sure any number of us could do the same and tell you which height is correct.

Or.... pop down to a local garage and bung it on the beam setter...

    (The wall idea is cheaper)

if you're a facelift then pop the bumper off it's a lot easier that way

if you're pre-facelift then I can't comment on the space behind the lights for fitting the kit

went out to check it this morning, so i stripped all the air box etc out of the way and sure enough the d/s bulb had come loose in the clip, managed to get it to stay put and both lights now bang on, i'm not sure if it'll stay in place though cos it was quite loose, anybody have any similar problems and if so what did you use to wedge it in so it don't come out again
