Bulb Repositioning?? . . .

I've got a 2008 Vec SRi with halogen light units. I have experienced shadowing when the lights are on because of the little plastic cover on the wire outside of the bulb. I've been advised to turn the bulbs to move the shadow but I can't change the position of the bracket on the bulb it self because they are fixed in place and they go into a preset position in the light unit in the car. So I'm wondering can the reciving brackets in the headlamp units themselves be repositioned?

Also when the plastic cover on the bulb is positioned to the bottom does anyone know where the shadow goes?

I have this on my HID's & initially tried everything to clear the shadow but never succeeded & to be honest I never notice it now.

Hi Ian, is your shadowing accuring on the left side? on mine the cut off is fine then it goes up to the left as normal and lights up the side walk and then as you follow the beam round to the left you then see a shadow and if you carry on the light is normal again. the shadowed area is still lit up because the HIDs are just that bright but it is definately darker.

Anyone else experienced this?

Also I've just realised I didn't mention that its because I've put HIDs in LOL (havn't put that down in my original post). When I have the standard Halogens in I don't have this problem.

Might even get on to HIDs Direct to see if they can help at all.
