Am I in trouble?

I thought I would be good on the way to work on the M4 this morning and stick to my usual speed of 70 mph

Stereo on full blast singing along to the Black Eyed Peas as you do.
When I realised I was just passing the first 50mph average speed camera .
Foot on the brakes! I was doing 50mph when I got to the second one.

Am I in trouble???

not sure ive done this before but nothing never came of it.. just dont realise sometimes lol..

Wouldn't worry. The cameras judge the average speed you were doing between the 1st and 2nd camera then the 2nd and 3rd, 3rd and 4th etc... so as long as you were doing in the region of 50mph between camera 1 and camera 2 you'll be fine.
A lot of these cameras don't work, I have to admit i've been driving up the M4 in a world of my own at 70 and not realised but nothing ever came of it.

I wouldn,t worry too much. If your average speed through the "camera,s" was below 50 mph. I think you will be ok.

1st camera may not have been active, 2nd or 3rd , 3rd or 5th and so on .... may have recorded your average speed, learnt all this last week at the speed awareness course

Basically they measure the speed from point a to point b, I,m guessing if they do it by time you are in trouble but if you then slowed down below 50mph it should not make any difference and your ok

BTW has ANYONE ever been nicked from one of these? I sit like a moron at 50 with cruise on and everyone goes hurtling past me...do they know something I dont? (And no I,m not doing 50 in a 70 lol)

I alway sit at 55 as the gps on my satnav says I'm then doing 50, You could probly stretch to 60 on the speedo as the cameras have to allow for 10% inaccuracy as well.

If you pass one doing warp 5, then change lanes and stay in that lane until you pass the second camera. Each time you pass one, change lanes and stay there til you pass the next one then change again. Keep doing that until the end. They only monitor one lane at a time (if you notice, each lane has a camera. Three lane=three cameras on the gantry)

I wouldnt have thought passing the first camera is fine.. as said if you then stick to the 50 through the rest then you wouldnt be in trouble you will still be a 'happy girl'
