Default Car failed the mot...... Guess what on

Yup you guessed it both front springs are broken! Couldn't believe it. Need to sort it asap and cheaply. So what do I do buy 2 new Sri springs (it's an Sri) from vx or do I change to after Market? Also where is the how 2 on how to do spring changes. Also I would idealy like to not need to realign the front wheels when the new springs are fitted. Thanks in advance. As I'm sure u can imagine I'm cheesed off to say the least!!!

You can fit eibachs etc and alignment is not essential. I fitted eibachs to mine and never bothered to have the allignment checked. I've had no bad tyre wear odd handling. You are only dropping it by 15mm with -30 springs (sri is 15mm lower anyway)

can you not buy aftermarket springs that are the same size as the standard sri springs??? as i hear from alot of ppl the lower ones are a bit of a pain in the a** although they are good for snow ploughing

Tbh my Vec is on eibachs and has the irmscher front splitter fitted and as long as you pay attention (look out for high kerbs when parking and go slowly over speed bumps) they are fine.

Any more than 30-35mm drop and then you may start having a few problems

Fraid not mate, pretty sure that Monroe do standard springs for the Vec that will be stronger than vx ones but they aren't really uprated
