    Default Weird noise from turbo

    Just had car serviced and new EGR fitted, car drives so much better now but under medium-hard acceleration the turbo sounds like its switching on and off instead of making a continuous whooshing noise Acceleration doesn't seem jerky but don't know whether to take it in to garage again?

    Is it the EGR working... Doesn't open till 2k. May have not noticed it before.

    It seems to start at 2k revs, so am assuming the EGR is working since it was replaced cos its driving much better than before

    mines done this since ive bought it 2 years ago. and its fine. mine does it at 2200 rpm ish. the engine noise changes and in first and second u can feel the power suddenly kick in. i allways just put it down to the car coming on boost.
