Default Fed up with this poorly made car, advise wanted

This car is driving me mad, in the 6 months we've owned it I have changed:

    Rear upper suspension arms
    Rear ARB bushes
    Full service
    Front disks and pads
Changed supersport kit for Bilstein kit

    Then yesterday I replaced:

    Front ARB bushes
    ARB Drop Links
20x new wheel bolts as the stupid torx headed wheels bolts ans key snapped

Changed above due to knocking, this has vastly improved it, however there is still a slight knocking.....what do I look at next, it appears to be drivers side only, I have new strut top bearings to go on, and I am think should I also change the top mount (which contains the void bush) at the same time?

All that will be left to do after this would be the front wishbone and rear wishbone bush, track rod end appears to be fine and I can't see rad mounts making a knocking like this.

I have also been doing mods to the car at the same time, must have spent £1K on it........still needs 2x new front tyres and I have camber bolts to go on whilst a 4 wheel alignment is carried out!

Can anyone advise on the likey cause, or even give me an idea of where to look next for this knocking? it notices when going slow and sometimes when braking at low speed, kind of a knock, knock like something moving forwards and back again......

I've never had so much trouble tracking down and fixing a knocking noise.......I think the Vec B was built better!

Mmm, knocking can be a ****** to fix. When does it do it over bumps, when steering etc?

Oh and I don't think you can blame disc + pads, wheel bolts and service on the car been badly made! And most of the other parts you replaced could easily fail due to lowering...

Yeah suppose your right, just hacked off at not being able to fix knock.....and it seems like I have spent a fortune...oh well...

Has anyone replaced Top mounts? as these are £40 a side so wondering if it's worth it, they don't appear to be worn.

It does it at low speed on rough ground, sometimes when you brake to stop and sometimes when you steer, only at low speed 10mph or less..

After a long drive today I think its as bad as it ever was!

IT's either top mount/bearing or a problem with the CV joint....

Yep, looks like im on a systematic replacement of the complete front end suspension.......cheap ass poorly made rubbish, well until you want to buy an original spare then it's ££'s more than it should be!
