    Default Code PO135

    Hi all
The other day had my car in for a tech 2 for the Sat Nav. The management light was on so asked the guy to tell me what it was on the quiet. He has given me the code PO135 o2 sensor / heater circuit. Can anyone pin point exactly what this is and does anyone have a pic of what it looks like?
    Once again..... cheers
    Martin

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

    Default

    P0135 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1

It is located in the manifold befor ethe catalyst and measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gas stream. From this O2 measurement, lambda can be calculated and any trimming to fuelling can be made to keep the air fuel ratio optimum (normally engines run under lambda control most of the time).

If it stops working, then the ECU doesn't have a measurement of O2 to tell what exactly is going on, and so can cause slight fuel economy penalty and also slightly drivability drop too.

Worth getting an OE part too for these
