    Default road bike

    Hi
Does any one here do road cycling,i am looking at buying a starter level road bike with a budget of circa £500.00.Loking at a Fuji newest 2.0 and a Pinnacle 1.0.Both of these are on sale at Evans and look to have good spec compared to the Specialized Allez.
Any advice would be good but my budget cannot stretch much above the 500 quid mark.
I know a lot of people dont like Evans but they are really quite good in Bristol
    cheers
    Pete

Does your work offer the 'cycle to work' scheme ('cyclesheme')?

You can get quite big savings on a bike.

Looked at Ribble? Its always nice to get a custom bike; £ for £ I think they are worth it.

Mate, people have opinions you're not going to like. Don't take them to heart. After all I'm sure you'll have opinions others won't be keen on.

Hi mate, I search around for ages for a bike for the same budget and eventually got a BRILLIANT bike for £200 (2nd hand, was bought for £800 a year before).

So I would look on Ebay etc and you can probs get a MUCH better wel looked after bike.

The Halfords ones are good but your going to be doing a lot of miles (I do around 35 every other night).

Good luck with your search mate but have a GOOD look around on ebay etc.

    Rob
